LONG JOHN SILVERS “TROPICS” TV spot
Fun spot showing a woman in a boring
office preparing to eat a boring [and very dry] sandwich [which looks
so bad & flat you feel sorry for her].
She bites into the sandwich and a huge
wave of [CG] water slams throughout the room.
When the water rushes off, she has been
teleported to a tropical beach dinner table with new yummy food on her
fork!
We lit the office very flat and used
common fluorescent lamps in our Kinos. Letting the green go was our
attempt to increase the nasty harsh world for her office, leaving the
amount of green up to the discretion of the color timer in post. As
you can see, they pretty much sucked all the green out. Oh well…you
do and you do for these guys. :)
The ‘tropical dinner’ environment
was built on a stage. A water rig was used above our talent to finish
the previous CG wave to make the transition a bit more seamless.
Palm and ferns and Tiki huts were arranges
with a 20K for sunlight and various wind machines to give it some life
Shot on the RED with Cooke optics.
