Shot On Red Farmers “Garage”

FARMERS INSURANCE “PARKING GARAGE”

Distracted Mom backs her car into another auto in a parking garage.

Real Mom, those are her real Kids!

Shot in an underground parking garage during a very hot spell. The engines of all of the parked cars were very hot, and being 3 floors underground left little if any air circulation. Air temperature was around 104 degrees!!

About the same in humidity…

Shot on the RED camera. I was concerned about the camera with this heat. Since the camera is basically a computer with a lens mount, I know that electronics do not like excessive heat [and humidity]. I checked with the folks at RED and they said to simply put the camera’s cooling fan on ‘high’ and not to worry.

I did, no worries….

We had to fight the many colors of the practical lights. Some were sodium vapors, others were mercury, others were cool white fluorescents, and others were warm white…plus throw in a mixture of tungsten and some of those new compact fluorescents…the entire spectrum of colored light.

We went with the more dominant cool whites and let it go.

Shot with intentions of a 2.40:1 aspect ratio, but the agency couldn’t decide it it might go 4:3 or also maybe 16:9…so we framed for everything!
