FARMERS INSURANCE “STORM”
Wind..Rain..Lightning,
all elements of an impending storm.
A frightened little girl runs from the
window as a blast of lightning strikes nearby.
Spot was to sell home insurance yet not
show any real destruction. Hard to convey yet keep interesting…
Shot on the RED camera.
Lightning Strikes units were employed
up on Condors as well as rain trees and huge wind machines.
I was very concerned about the ‘rolling
shutter’ effect of the RED’s CMOS chip but with a little trial &
error play had zero problems, Read more on my blog about the rolling
shutter & Lightning Strikes settings.
Most of this spot was shot with the camera
flying on a Cam-Mate crane. With the RED being so new, there were no
rain-covers at the time, so we placed our faith in the Glad garbage
bags and cling-wrap!
Thank goodness it was an insurance spot!
