Brickyard Insurance "Truck" TV Spot
It’s always fun to smash & crash stuff!!
Premise: Logging truck on winding road jack-knifes on rainy road.
I was beginning to see a theme in my recent work: stormy night exteriors with wind & rain.
Typical 18K up in Condor for 'night light' and to help backlight the moon. Camera flies across most of these scenes on a Cam-Mate. Again, garbage bags and a Moviecam rain cover protect the RED camera (someone NEEDS to make a RED rain-cover!!)
All the logs were Styrofoam and really looked great! Great job Todd Dean and Boysie!
We covered most of the action with 2 RED’s, one usually on sticks, the other on the crane.
The truck interiors as well as shots of the driver driving were all
''poorman's process'' with the usually spinning overhead streetlights, swishing on-coming headlights, etc...
Shot in below freezing temperatures and was a tough shoot to try to squeeze all into one night, especially these short winter nights. Physical effects work always takes way more time than anyone realizes. So cold that my glasses would frost over anytime I entered the production mo-ho.
Thanks goodness for Monster Energy drink!!
Shot on the RED with Cooke optics.
