Premise: A young and beautiful woman enjoys a relaxing bath.
Shot in Barbados....NOT! Actually shot on a 2 walled set with a cast iron tub 10" from the exterior stage door in the middle of a very cold Midwestern winter! Not being a real "practical" tub, the grips were given the task of hauling buckets of hot water to keep our model from frostbite! Somehow, I didn’t think they mind...
Shot with heavy use of the Clairmont"s Swing-Tilt lenses, with a few long lens cut-aways. I remember 40 fps as our main frame rate with a cut-away of a water droplet @ 120 fps. Everything was telecined @ 24fps. Nice use of complimentary colors [I love that!] with our key being warm and our shadow fill being very blue....which also complimented our lovely model"s skin tones. Usual rolling dutches with slight dolly moves, no lens filtration. But we did run the transfer twice for use of the "DX" technique [hire me and I"ll go over it with you :-)
Unfortunately, these poor frame grabs do not do the image justice. Same goes for the highly compressed video stream.
This is another example of a simple 2-wall set. We flew a 12’x12’ blue-screen in the stage ceiling [sort of like a ceiling] to bounce the blue light into the shadows and to cool down the mid-tones. The key was a ‘naked’ 5-K [Senior with it’s lens removed] and shot through our ‘magic-jugs’!
This is way too top-secret and technical….you will have to hire me to demonstrate!
